Arlington Still Morning:

I was asked to compose for a documentary film on Arlington Cemetery – a hallowed place if ever there was one.  The stillness and reverence can’t be described.  This opening scene, the panorama of the headstones lay as quiet statements of certain mortal fact against the gentle rolling hills that surrounds them.  In this musical opening piece, I hoped to capture the proud but sad world weariness that mixes with the dignity and honor of those who are there, as certain as the sun rises and sets above them.

I enlisted the help of my musical compadre, Brian Brill, whose orchestral touch on this could not have been more perfect.  I wrote this many years ago and I must say, it is one that lingers.
